Why do you give all accounts a dedicated IP address?

We have found using a single IP for all accounts caused issues when a client sending spam caused the IP to be added to 3rd party blacklists (RBLs) such as Spamhaus and Spamcop. It then affected all clients on the servers preventing mail delivery. By assigning dedicated IP addresses to each account, a ban only affects the spammer, not everyone. The cost of supplying the dedicated IPs outweighs the damage control required to get everyone back up and running. We still have to work to get the IP removed from the RBLs since we own the IP and the spamming account will still be suspended until the $150 fee is paid for the labor involved as per our Terms of Service.
